Public consultation on the draft addendum to the ECB Guidance to banks on non-performing loans

This consultation gives interested parties the opportunity to comment on a draft addendum to the ECB Guidance on non-performing loans (NPL Guidance).

Deadline for submitting comments: midnight CET on 8 December 2017.

Only comments received before this deadline will be considered.

Draft addendum to the ECB Guidance to banks on non-performing loans

The draft addendum supplements and reinforces the NPL Guidance published on 20 March 2017 with regard to timely provisioning and write-off practices.

Public hearing (on-site hearing)

The ECB will hold a public hearing at its premises in Frankfurt am Main, Sonnemannstrasse 20, on 30 November 2017, from 12:00 to 14:00 CET.

The hearing will be streamed live via this website, where it will also be available afterwards.

Danièle Nouy, Chair of the Supervisory Board of the ECB, and Sharon Donnery, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland and Chair of the ECB Task Force on non-performing loans will hold the hearing.

How to participate (registration period extended)

Please register your interest in participating in the hearing by 24 November 2017 using this form.

For space reasons, attendance will be limited to a maximum of five persons per institution or company, subject to availability.

The deadline for registration is 24 November 2017.

If it is possible to accommodate your request, you will receive an email confirming your registration.

On the day of the hearing, access will only be granted to participants who present their registration confirmation email and a valid identification document, such as a passport or ID card (a driver’s licence will not be accepted).
