Draft ECB guidance to banks on non-performing loans

The draft guidance addresses the main aspects of strategy, governance and operations that are key to successfully resolving non-performing loans (NPLs). It provides recommendations to banks and sets out a number of best practices identified by ECB Banking Supervision that will in the future constitute the ECB’s supervisory expectations.

Public hearing

The ECB will hold a public hearing at its premises in Frankfurt am Main on Monday, 7 November 2016, starting at 15:00 CET.

The event will comprise a presentation followed by a question and answer session in English.
