Access to documents

Transparency is crucial to how the ECB operates. We are therefore committed to communicating openly whenever possible. In addition to publishing press releases, speeches, interviews and publications, we provide access to a public register of documents, which contains:

• historical documents relating to the ECB’s forerunners
• documents released in response to public access requests
• correspondence with EU institutions and other authorities
• documents relating to ECB groups with external participation
• board members' diaries
