What I particularly like about my work at the ECB

For me, working at the ECB means working in a multilingual, multinational, friendly and intellectually stimulating atmosphere with excellent, approachable and committed colleagues from all corners of Europe.

We all share one objective: to work for Europe and its citizens. Banking supervision is being set up to make the EU banking sector more resilient, fostering growth and financial stability.

How my work makes a difference

I work for the ECB’s legal department which advises on legal issues relating to banking supervision and also represents the ECB in Court.

I have been working in the ECB’s Legal Services since 2008, having previously worked for BaFin. One difference compared with my former job is the international atmosphere and the working language.

Three things I like about Frankfurt

Frankfurt is a very lively, international and young city.

There is an abundance of cultural events, restaurants and bars, sports and leisure facilities and it is surrounded by nature.

Lastly, Frankfurt is at the heart of Europe and, thanks to its infrastructure, is easy to reach from all over Europe.
