I think what struck me when I first joined the ECB was how good the working atmosphere is. Colleagues are very open and friendly, and it was very easy to make friends.
As a Senior Management Assistant in DG/MSII I am responsible for assisting the Deputy Director General. I am one of the few colleagues in the DG who has previous experience of working at the ECB and I have been involved in setting up processes to help new colleagues familiarise themselves with banking supervision and the ECB.
I think Frankfurt supports a very high quality of life. It is also very easy to meet people and, for a small city, it has many good restaurants and bars. There is always somewhere new to try.
