The European Central Bank (ECB) is an EU institution operating under clearly defined rules which can be found in primary and secondary EU law. In carrying out its tasks, the ECB can adopt legal acts and also provide and publish opinions on proposed legislation within its fields of competence. In this section you will find all ECB legal acts – including amendments, corrigenda and consolidated versions – in all relevant official EU languages, as well as case law of relevance to the ECB.
